« on: April 14, 2009, 07:12:05 PM »
Alright so what pickup do you guys think for this!
Thinking nailbomb as that what me and tim were leaning towards what do you guys think!
Basically coming from the cold sweat i want :
something smoother just as clear just as thick with a alinco magnet as i have my paul for my ceramic needs.

Mahogany with Red wood top and black binding

Rosewood with Ebony fret board

I'd put a miracle man or painkiller in that.

Probably a painkiller.

In fact, yes, a paikiller. There is no longer any doubt in my mind.

Really hard for me to interpolate, because I've only heard them in very different guitars, or with very different setups, but seems to me that the CS has more of a low mid grind going on, a sizzlier high end, its more open with rather a bit more treble and less bass, the PK is hotter, more mids and high mids, tighter, more solid low end and while still quite bright, less so than the CS.

In mahogany + rosewood youre talking ultra-thick sound - even I'd hesitate to get double screw pole in that.

This is true clarity is very high on my list.
Ever compare a painkiller to a c-bomb?
