Homemade effects
« on: April 05, 2009, 02:34:52 PM »
Afternoon all. Does anyone know of any good sources of reference, internet or book, for recipes to make effects pedals? I'm sure stuff like this has been posted in the past but I don't recall.

Cheers,

Ian.
I think I hate being indecisive.

There are a few websites but try http://www.buildyourownclone.com/, www.tonepad.com and www.freestompboxes.org

Edit: Also check out http://www.smallbearelec.com/home.html, it's an online shop but has some good tutorials/kits too.

I'm looking to start doing this soon, i'm going to be making an A/B/Y pedal soon.

Check these out http://www.musikding.de/index.php/cat/c122_Musikding-Kits.html

I've never done any but they're far cheaper than the BYOC kits, i seriously think the BYOC kits are far too expensive.

80% of my pedalboard is home made. Mostly from BYOC kits but my boost was built on stripboard based off a super hard on circuit. I love building stuff, but not got round to painting the enclosures yet.

Well I've just ordered a BYOC OD 2 after all the talk on these threads. Should be interesting to see how it turns out!
