Trilogy or Irish Tour middle SC?
« on: April 10, 2009, 09:13:48 AM »
Hey,

I'm about to order a set of Nailbombs for my RG550 and I'm looking for a middle SC to match well with them. It should be powerful enough to keep up with the NBs even when it's pretty far away from the strings so that it can't get in the way of my picking hand. It should maintain the singlecoil vibe though. From the descriptions and comments here on the forums I'm torn between the IT and the Trilogy.
I don't know if I even need a middle SC as I barely use it. But that's probably due to the cr@ppy sound of the stock Ibanez one ;)

I have the Irish Tour in between my Nailbomb bridge and Cold Sweat neck and it balances really well.  It also works well on split sounds with the HB's.
So many pickups, so little time

Thx for your reply. Maybe some others can chime in here. I'd like to know what the IT and TS are like and how they compare to each other. The descriptions on the website are kinda vague. I should have stated that more clearly in the first post.
