Suggestions for new BKP on my Les Paul
« on: February 15, 2011, 12:03:17 PM »
Hello folks!

This is my first message on this forum and I need a help!

I want to replace my SD Pearly Gates pups on my Les Paul Classic, which pickup do you recommend? I want a pickup a little hot than Pearly Gates, I thought the models Black Dog, Emerald or VHII (I have this pickups installed on my Peavey Wolfgang and the sound is awesome).
But.. I do not want a pickup very strong, between 9 and 12k is perfect for me

My amp is a Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier with cab Legacy 212 (V30) and I play hard rock and heavy stuff.. Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Rainbow ...

The pickup can not be much bass, the mesa boogie is fat!

Thanks!!!

I think going for another VHII would be your best option
