Washburn Idols

Just ordered a Washburn idol Wi-45 today from Imuso.

THis was prompted by a general interest in the Idol models I've had for a while now, though never having played one. However, I just played a used WI65 idol in my local store today - an outstanding guitar in every way !!    EXCEPT it has no fret markers on the fingerboard - I was struggling to play on the right frets in the shop - can't imagine what it would be like on a dark stage !  A real pity, it was going for £190 !  I would have snapped it up otherwise !

Anyway, I believe the WI-45 is essentially the same guitar but with different pickups (I'll change them anyway) and with fret markers on the fretboard. It can always go straight back if I don't like it.

Anyone have any experience of the Idol range ??

Not specifically

I find Washburn in general tend to be good bang for buck though.

i've tried a wi65pro too, i thought it was great for the money. only i didn't need another dual-humbucker guitar, i very nearly bought one when machinehead was blowing them out for £250 a while back...

I haven't tried the one you ordered, unfortunately. :)
