Question on a couple of 2nd handers
« on: May 02, 2009, 11:10:58 PM »
Seen a couple of secondhand guitars at a shop near me that seem interesting what are folks opinions

1994 - 1995 Fender Japan Yngwie Malmsteen Signature STRAT VINTAGE WHITE.ST71-YJM

GRECO LES PAUL CUSTOM - MADE IN JAPAN IN '78 AT THE FUJI GEN GAKKI FACTORY.

I like the look of them but don't have enough experience to be confident buying 2nd hand.

What do folks think and how much ?

I had a 1984 Greco LP Custom (also Fuji-Gen) - I paid £190 for it and sold it for £360 I think.
LOVING the Mules!

Not sure about the pricing of these. MIJ practically equals/guarantees excellent quality.

You could check ebay for pricing.

The Malmsteen has a scalloped fretboard and DiMarzio pickups. Either you like that or you don't.

The Fuji Gen factory is one of the best. No doubt that Greco is one fine instrument.

I'd love to try the Greco out.....
A-Pig 7s, Miracle Man & Mule, Cold Sweats... Expensive kit and no talent posse.

I'd avoid the Malmsteen if this is your first guitar as the scalloped board will probably make the learning curve much steeper.
