Vocoder-esque vocal effects
« on: July 19, 2009, 04:35:25 AM »
Hey all,

The Rig of Awesomeness is in need of slight changes, I need help getting this effect-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9-r82TakGY

At 3:20, the vocal effect on Matt's voice, how is it done?

I have a Digitech vocal processor but for the life of me can't seem to work it out (its
maybe possible I just need to tinker more in my off time)

Anyone know anything that can do this and is portable?

I guess it's good, but never hooked it up. You need a carrier and an analysis signal and I was too lazy so far to experiment with different sources for both.

i'm actually kinda sad that someone responded so quickly, now I have no choice to blow all my of next paycheck on this just so i can have a vocoder for knights of cydonia, though I can probably find a way to use it for hysteria.

I'll definitely need it for playing new songs of The Resistance...
