Chambered body???
I don't know, I think this chambering is done way too much by Gibson. There must be some difference between small weight relief holes/larger electronics cavities and this almost semi-hollow construction.
there is a difference... and thats why gibson do some solid, some with weight relief holes and some with large tone chambers. considering the wood stocks available it makes sense to have these different options that allow them to make the most of what is available
they all affect the sound, but not always in a bad way. sure, they wont sound 'a proper 58 LP'... but then a modern LP with a solid body wont sound much like 'a proper 58 LP' either
