I love Gretsch guitars. My favorite is their billy bo model. Billy Gibbons uses it all the time

If you like the Billy-Bo, check out these rare white and black Penguin editions: http://acapella.harmony-central.com/showthread.php?p=31463460

They were all made for Shanghai guitars. 12 white ones with tailpiece, 12 or 24 white ones with bigsby and 12 black ones with Bigsby.

The Pink Penguin?

The very first custom shop Gretsch.

He still has it and is very happy with it.

Indeed the very guitar. Although it wasn't looking quite as good as that when I saw it.......

The guitar was probably built in 1998, one year after the brand was resurected. They pretty much had to build them from pictures and hearsay. They didn't get everything right. When Fender took over they put several vintage Gretsches in a medical CT scanner to see what makes them tick. Quality has dramatically imroved since then.

Man those billy models are awesome. I think an interesting combination would be that billy bo body with the headstock of the archtop in the pics below. I think that would be cool

Thanks for sharing
