Silly question
« on: October 04, 2009, 10:44:31 PM »
This is likely a very silly question with an easy and obvious answer, but I suppose I just want to be certain. I'm replacing the EMG's in a guitar I just bought with BKPs and know that the pots have to be replaced, but what about the output jack? Is it just as simple as not using the 3rd leg of the jack or does it need to be swapped altogether?

You can use the jack, just don't connect the 3rd leg.
That's what I did on my Jackson that had EMG's Fitted in it!  :D

Do you have a ground wire from the bridge?

I'm not sure as I've not yet received the guitar, but good point about the ground. I'll keep my eyes open for that.
