I may not own as many Vs as Gwem but I'm no less of a fan

I want one in black and white - like Schenker

But I want to make it sound better than that clip

the V shape seems to be quite practical as a lapsteel as well :) i'm rubbish playing steel, he doesn't sound the best, but i'm sure i would be worse :)

That made me feel better about my own playing.

I tried Wez's lapsteel a few weeks ago and struggled badly. I just couldn't do it. I was very hungover though.

The guy on the vid didn't sound too hot - some very bad tuning/intonation going on there.
I think I hate being indecisive.

you didnt try for too long though ian,  its funny because most guitarists seem to struggle a bit more than people who dont play at first.  i guess its because its all familiar but not the same.  most will adapt quickly though.

i do have mine all done and finished now, but i am still trying to settle on the perfect string gauge for it:

trying to learn how to play ;)

tuning/intonation is the hardest thing on lapsteels an i cant imagine it being easier once standing up.  obviously fretlines help but the distance of strings from fretboard and angle you are looking at it from make quite a difference to that
