I find the Crawler bridge and my Soldano can get me into a thick Dough Aldrich White Snake territory from the BORN TO BE BAD disc.
Interesting post. Ive been using the RY bridge in my LP Custom and dig it but wonder how the Crawler would compare?
I have two LPs with a RY in the bridge and Crawler in the bridge. To my ears:
As above,
Crawler has sweeter high ends and thicker almost softer midrange and low end. Similar to a Duncan Custom Custom but soooo much better. Modern x bluesier but not like a typical PAF: it's got a big phat sweet midrange .
Rebel Yell has a bit taughter high end and attenuated low end compared to the Crawler, the upper mids jump out and it's a super inspiring sound: really great for those Steve Stevens chugging chords and abrupt double stops. At home it sounds a bit taught on the high end but the RY really shines in a band live setting or mix. Holy cow! More 'specialized' than the Crawler to my ears.
