Clip of Healey Amps w/BKP
« on: October 06, 2009, 05:42:52 PM »
Here's a clip of the 35w "LEEDS" Prototype amplifier.

The pickup is all a telecaster with a country boy in the bridge.

ENJOY :)

This is the x2 EL34 Non-Master version, the amp is about 50% on the volume dial! but it's into a Hotplate and attenuated down to -16dB so it's a bit fizzy and rough compared to the real tone but it's a good idea of what it can sound like I think.

Btw, we've decided to use USA Heyboer Transformers rather than UK Tranformers now and this is what you're hearing in this clip.

ignore the feedback problem just before the ZZ TOP style riff that's just coz the pickup squeeled!

It's tough to get a good idea of what an amp sounds like from a single short sound clip, IMO so much of an amps 'DNA' can only be got from play one. But (to me) that sounds really good, I can only imagine that it sounds even better without the attenuator.

What would you say the amps unique selling point is?

am loaded into a 8ohm hot plate, into a single 1x12 open back cab close mic'd with a single SM57 straight into the soundcard no audio interface.

Nothing spectacular.
