Anyone care to explain the video? I can't watch it at work. I've seen it before though, but can't remember what happens.

basically yngwie drives around going on about how awesome he is, pops into a guitar shop, picks up a strat and has play. pays £3500 for it (which the staff find pretty funny), im not sure if he actually pays more than what they are asking for it. Then he walks out the store with the guitar in a case over to his car, the chauffeur opens the rear door and without looking he just throws the case into the car while laughing, then hops in and gets driven away.

There's a bit of haggling - they're on the phone to the guy who owns it, he initially wants £3,600 (I think), Yngwie offers £3,000, then £3,200, then eventually goes for £3,500.

Mind you - if it was a real 63 Strat then £3.5K was a bit of a bargain!

I'm sure the '63 strat can handle that, especially in the case... but what a dick, i don't think hes tryng to create some sort of clever image at all.

Am I the only one who thinks that what he does in that shop sounds horrible?

The tone is horrible. It's not the guitar's fault but it wasn't designed for high gain speed noodling back in '63. And when he plays, other than it's w**kery, there's too many notes choking.
