Pig-90 and the Warpig
« on: November 07, 2005, 08:54:57 PM »
Hi guys,

I asked this question a couple of times but was not able to get the answer.
Does anyone know the difference in sound from a Pig-90 and a warpig?

Anyone?

I am basically looking to see if the PIG-90 has as much output and low end as a regular warpig, but with more bite since its a P-90??

Is a PIG-90 a good chug machine?

The Pig90 has the same output as the warpig but will have the charicteristics of a single coil.
The Warpig would be better for chugging.

Do your new queens not give you an Iommi sound?  I'm hoping
the Pig-90 will give me a sound that Iommi would have if he went nuMetal.  haha

Hey BKP Guys,

Is that a good comparison?  Is a pig-90 the sound Iommi would have in a numetal band?

I am ordering my pups tomorrow.  Cant wait.

My Queens are in a maple hollow body, that's quite different from a LP or SG. They have an 8K output wich isn't quite enough for Sabbath. With plenty of overdrive I can get them to sound a bit like Children of the Grave, though.

Thanks Guys,

Today should be the day I order my set.  I think I'm going to get the PhilKing setup since he says it sounds great.  A warpig bridge and a mississippi queen neck.  My SG is not to far away from his explorer so the sounds should be comparable.

There are so many great options from BKP, but I think I will always have that urge of the beast, so warpig is the way i will go.
