Strat '62 BKP's vs stock Fender - Wind Cries Mary
« on: September 09, 2009, 04:05:37 PM »
Heres an A/B I did over a backing track of the Wind Cries Mary to make a comparison between the stock Fender Strat pickups and my new '62 Bare Knuckle set.

Theres not a massive tone difference, but theres a lot more clarity to the '62's as well as a bit more of a vintage vibe to my ears.

Excuse the playing, I should have done something less sacreligious :D

Ill do a proper demo of the 62's later tonight.

I hadnt got anything else done as my "studio" was in pieces after decorating.    Finally got it all up and running and did a little demo of Cant Stop by the Chili Peppers.    Unfortunately theres something up with my PC and for some reason it went down to about 5 frames per minute!    The guitar tone came out pretty well, if a little toppier than it sounded in the room.   A few playing mistakes but nothing too cringe-worthy!

Have this for now, and Ill do a decent one in a day or two.  (Hopefully)
