Which pickups would you recommend for 12-string electric guitar (alder body, maple/rosewood neck)?
The music syles I want to cover are: shoegaze, post-punk, post-rock, noise-rock, etc. The sound I want to achieve is thick, bassy, raw, dirty. But not heavy. I use Laney or Marshall tube amps mostly. The guitar is always tuned one step lower.
It's a strat guitar, but due to it's cavity, all types of pickups can be installed. I choose between Stormy Monday, Trilogy Suite and Piledriver (I know that it's not quite right to put tele pups into strat, but I just love the sound of this pup.)
What other variants can you suggest?
