Hey everyone!
I recently purchased an Ibanez Rg1527, an awesome 7 string, feels great, looks badass, but as everyone knows about these guitars the stock pickups are pretty much terrible.
SO! Armed with the knowledge that BKPs are pretty much badass (got a set of Nailbombs on my 6 string) I decided i'd get some 7 string Nailbombs as well. However, I noticed on the forums that a common setup for 7 strings is a Cold Sweat in the Neck and a Nailbomb in the bridge. So the doubt set in and I've checked out demo's on the site and now I'm asking you guys:
Whats the deal with the Cold Sweat in the Neck and the Nailbomb in the bridge? Is there something wrong with the Nailbomb in the Neck? Or does the Cold Sweat just sound better?
BTW the 1527 has a basswood body, maple neck, and a rosewood fretboard and currently I'm using a Marshall MG250 dfx but am thinking of getting an ENGL soon.
Thanks guys!
