their Wolf model fits in with the price and spec for a backup guitar I've been considering for a while to replace my Epi Explorer (which is up for sale at present).

they look astonishingly good for the price, but of course the proof is always in the pudding. 

the option to get BKPs or other pickups fitted stock is cool too rather than the pricing including some cr@p far-eastern pickups you don't want and can't give away.

the Wolf model with a set of Cold Sweats would seem the order of the day for me.

will do, but I've got an Epi Explorer loaded with the evil EMGs to sell first (£350.00 if anyone is interested), or £275.00 without pickups.  can add a Ritter heavy duty soft case for another £35.00

I've got a newer eggle, and an older one. The older one is more "perfect", but i still really like my newer one, too- then again, i got it for a good price. I wouldn't pay £1200.

I have a JJ, too. Also a very nice guitar.

I've got a Berlin Pro from 1993 (I think). It's pretty compact with a fantastic playing surface (jumbo frets on an ebony board). I'd avoid Eggles with Kent Armstrong humbuckers unless you're already preparing to put new pickups in - the KAs are thin and trebly and horrible, which is probably why Eggle soon switched to Seymour Duncans. Mine has Mules in now and sounds fantastic. It doesn't have the phatness of a Les Paul or even a PRS - more like SG territory.

yeah, the KAs in my new york aren't great. i haven't got round to swapping them yet, but that's laziness and indecisiveness rather than lack of necessity...
