War pig in my Jackson Kelly?
« on: December 22, 2009, 02:17:44 PM »
Hi, new here! :D
I have a Jackson Kelly Pro[neck through] and woder how the War Pig would work in it
I have a Duncab Paralell Axis in it now and it is good but a little muddy on the low end[and it's not a Bare Knuckles lol!]
I use a Peavey 6505+ and a Framus Dragon for amps
I have a Nail Bomb in a Charvel 550XL [neck through also] and I like it in there but would like to have something a little different , what do you guys think?
Thanks

Seeing as you've bought it already, anything I say will be irrelevant :) however, I think it will work well.

Did you go for the Alnico or Ceramic magnet?
BKPs: HD, MM, NB, PK, CS, Ab (b&n); Am (b only); VHII, Tril (n only); IT, Slow, Sult (m&n)

i've got no experience with kellys (honestly i hate all that explorer oriented stuff...), so i've got no idea of its acoustic tone... unless it's very dark you should love it obscenely. :)
Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...

too many? ;)

It's not a dark guitar or bright but really balanced one, it plays so comfortable when standing up that I like playing it live better than my soloist
Just gotta watch out and not bang the tips :D
