Working Bank Holiday Monday Sucks. Again.
« on: December 28, 2009, 09:56:44 AM »
I seem to spend most of my time on this forum when I have to come in and cover the desk on Bank Holidays.

Got appraisals to write for my team, so I've got stuff to do.  However, it's deserted here, and I can turn my workstation up and listen to pedal clips!

Also, how many dodgy celebrity bikini pictures do you think I can get away with Googling before I'm hauled in front of HR?

Go for it! Serves them right for getting you to work bank holiday. I might have to work too .. for my dad, with no pay. Curses!
"Would you like some lemon oil?"
"Oh, no thanks, I don't eat fruit."

All depends on whether you work in IT, doesn't it? ;-)

It all depends on whether you work in IT and in the Tech Support/Admin department.

I work in IT, but my work PC is screwed down like a b@stard by IT support and corporate insecurity. However, down in the IT support department, they got pictures on their desktops, sound, webmail, you name it... (and they know where the internet logs are held on the network...)

I actually don't mind too much - I accepted it years ago, but it really p1sses off some folks
