By honourable I assume you mean conforming to workplace expectations???
Admittedly sometimes work places and long hair dont mix- I always got away with it wherever I worked though.
It certainly shouldn't be seen as a reflection of your ability to work or how hard you work.
Some bosses don't quite get this and associate it with a drop out/hippy kind of attitude, which is so out of date and out of touch.
Some of the hardest working folks I know have long hair
(Tim and myself for example- but then we are SELF EMPLOYED)

The same thing goes for my rock n' roll-ish hairstyle. It's not like I have a foot long pompadour or something, it's just side burns and a load of gel to keep my hair combed back. Still my employer bitched about it....and my leather jacket.......and my bicycle for Ch**** sake!

I guess they only want people who look like Jehova's witnesses or something.

They'll go mental if I get a tattoo. :lol: :twisted:
