Guitar for Horton Heat with Bare Knuckle Mississippi Queens
« on: February 09, 2010, 02:16:27 PM »
Just finished this 335 style guitar for the Rev. Horton Heat.

The guitar itself is a 335 style mahogany body / neck with a maple top - finished in black - ebony fretboard with no inlays, Les Paul style hardware with the 3 way switch on the upper horn. We fitted a nice set of Bare Knuckle Mississippi Queen Humbucker sized P-90's - CTS Pots and Orange drop caps.

Hiya - ( And welcome to the forum ).

That is a very nice piece of work ; like a mutant 'Lucille' model - but better for the opulence being tempered with a certain dignity. I am sure the buyer will like the M.Q.s in it, as they even teased forth luscious tones from my Budget priced 335 copy.

Do come back with the player's comments !  :)

Very cool!

I'm a big RHH fan.

I'll post a copy of that link on the Gretsch forum. I'm sure they'll dig it.
