No Longer an Imposter
« on: January 28, 2010, 07:34:34 PM »
I must confess I've been here for years and never got round to actually getting some BKPs. Just when I was getting to it I'd buy another guitar or something :o
Now thanks to MDV I am the proud owner of a Cold Sweat bridge pickup. After a bit of trickery with the soldering iron I've put it in the bridge of my Dean Vendetta, and I am completely awestruck. It completely blows my SD equipped guitars out the water. The tone is EXACTLY what I was after, and the clarity and definition are astonishing. The only problem is, as mentioned by others, it really highlights the flaws in my playing. Going to have to get better.

I had no idea!

Welcome to the fold

The playing does get better, almost automatically, not sure why... (mebbe cos the sound coming out the speakers makes you want to play more?) ... but that seems to have been my experience with BKPs :D

Nice one Ben,

With your established presence around here, I had just assumed that you had too many B.K.P to bother listing them.

Thought of a job with M.I.5 ?  8)

Speak for yourself, matey!

I have to confess to slight disappointment, Sifu Ben.   I was hoping you'd say you were from Channel 4's "The Secret Millionaire" and were going to buy us all a PRS or two.....   :|

BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
