Woo-Hoo! Some of you may know that I finally managed to sell my Matamp cab to a lovely young chap called Mark. and I departed on the sea of what the hell to get. I thought about a marshal cab for about 2 seconds, do I look for another matamp, in the end I'd heard a lot about Zilla cab, so after a chat with Paul there I decided to take the plunge & do it. I ordered from him a tall vintage. Then I had the problem with the speakers,do I go with V30's again (err no). SO I had been annoying our very own JPFamps regarding Taydens. Dived in with Franks suggestion of the M & H (i.e. a retro & a true brit), Frank & Paul were good enough to speak with each other & put everything together. After much biting of nails it has just arrived
mmmm tasty!
I haven't had chance to try it yet (family...neighbours etc), but I thought I'd take some snaps

Initial impressions...good. The cab is well put together, definitely not coming apart, not upto the standard of being overly built (like the Matamp) but exceptional. It's a lot thinner than I expected, but still takes the heads OK. Neat work & the side carry handles are spot on, nothing that can rip your palms to shreds like the matamp ones.
Got a practice with the new band on thursday so will report back how it sounds with the new setup
