Yamaha SG2000

I dunno if anyone here is from Cornwall, or is willing to drive to Cornwall to look at a guitar but..

I'm selling my '77 Yamaha SG2000. Japanease. serial number 003982

It's an awesome guitar but unfortunetly (for me) I need the moneys.

As i'm sure a little googling will teach, these guitars are becoming more and more sought after. I think the term "Les Paul eater" comes up alot. Early ones are hard to find for under a grand now but because of a few player friendly upgrades (which collectors hate) i'm selling mine for £700.

This guitar has a super fast neck. Beautiful cherry sunburst finish with all gold hardware. Upgraded seymour duncan custom floor distortion pickups (you can have the original pickups too). Original Yamaha gold tuners. CTS non coil tapping pots (got the original pots in a tin too). All work was done by a professional guitar tech.

now the downsides. Its very heavy. It has expected wear on the back (but the front is spotless). Could do with a nicer nut but the one it has does the job fine. thats about it.

feel free to comment/ask questions

see attached photo (guitar on the left)

PS. Thanks for the pickup Tim
