Trilogy bridge VS sinner bridge
« on: October 09, 2010, 08:48:16 PM »
After at least two or three threads here,  weekly opinion changes and whatnot, I finally decided it was time to get some fine BKPs for  my Vox Standard 25 (yeps, this time for real) and that I wanted hot vintage neck and mid and a truely hot bridge on it - the BGF50s on my '62 RI Tele giving me all I need wrt/ vintage SC tones. I was thinking about a Sinner bridge and IT or SH neck and mid, so I dropped a mail to Tim and he answered with... TS bridge (possibly bas-plated) / SHx2.

Now TS seems to be mostly used on HSS sets - at least I failed to find much info / clips / whatever about the TS bridge - so gentlemen, any informed opinion about (base-plated) TS bridge and comparisons with the Sinner are welcome.

TIA
B.

PS : not doing any schred/metal stuff, but still playing with lot of gain.
Have: Crawlers, BGF 50/52s, Mules, ABomb, RiffRaff
Had : Slowhands (n&m), Trilogy (b)

Both will do, but the Sinner is way hotter. If you have a highgainamp I would choose a Tr.
Mules, VHII, Crawler, MM's, IT's, BG50's.

Playing on a HRDx (plugged into a marshall 4x10 cab) - not sure it really qualifies as "hi gain" by today standard but still quite hot.

Ok. Let us know how they sound in your guitar. I don't have experience with these hot singlecoils, but I have an old strat-copy lying around, maybe I dress that one up with something hotter than IT's.
