Help chosing covers...
« on: April 05, 2010, 08:49:44 PM »
So I've decide on my pickups (Nailbomb and Cold Sweat) and I'm just about to order them...but for some reason I'm really struggling with the cover options. I know open black coils will work, but the seems so...boring. So, what do you guys think will look good in this guitar? I'm open to open coil or covered pickups.

I'd thought about matt black with black allen bolts...does it cost any more to get the screws swapped for bolts?

matt black covers with black screws.

i can imagine burnt chrome, but this would be the safe option - and cool too!

Ok, think that's what I'll go for - matt black with black allen bolts. Seems safe, yet a little different at the same time. So unless someone makes a good case for something else...

Also, any word on cost? I wouldn't think it would be different just to swap the screws, but if someone knows, they're input would be appreciated   :D

if you ask Tim, he'll tell you that allen bolts will change the tone of the pickup.
I'm not sure if it costs extra.
