Props to guitar asylum and new pickups! Pictures inside

Just saw that Tim updated the dealer list with guitarasylum in new york. Big props to them. I was worried that special orders would take 3 weeks but they promised 10 days and 10 days it was. I'll be doing all my custom orders from them in the future...unless of course someone has something in stock that day. Haha. I'm not a patient man. Here's my gear porn and quick reviews.

Here are the Rebel Yells sitting pretty in my PRS. I got these to test how hot I could go in a Hollowbody. Apparently very hot. I'm thinking about getting some Nailbombs. I took these pickups out already and put them in my Gibson LP with a maple cap. The rebel yells make some of the sweetiest drop tune notes I've ever heard. I found them to be a little bright in the hollowbody. They weren't quite hot enough for me either. But if you are looking for something slightly hotter then vintage with a snarl these are it.

Here's my lp dc studio with warpigs. These are the best pickups I've ever played on. Super versatile. Roll down the volume for cleans, roll up the volume to explode everything. Amp to clean? Warpigs. Need more gain? Warpigs. Warpigs are my new answer to everything. Clear articulate without being piercing with tight mids and just enough bass. This is what I always imagined my guitar would sound like. Can't wait till I can put these in a Mira with longer scale radius. The 24.75 on the gibby is just a little to flubby. Even with .13s.

Here's my Jr. with a bkp p92 dogear. Hand's down one of the best pickups ever. Tied with Wolfetone meaners. Beats the snot out of current production Gibsons. Stood toe to toe with a '59 all vintage original LP Jr. All of the bite and all the snarl that people have associated with p90s that I've never found in any new guitar.

Now for some nailbombs. I asked Tim if he could wind some hotter warpigs for me...apparently he has reached the limit of science. I have faith in him though!
