NAD
« on: May 06, 2010, 01:18:40 PM »
I always wanted a Supersonic - and it looks cool (to me at least) and plugged into my 2x12 for a 5 minute session has some nice sounds in it.  But it is bloody loud (i.e. 1.4 is about as high as you can go)

Nice amp.   Why don't you just make 1.4 = 10?

If it uses the same pots as the Hot Rod Series then maximum volume will be about 4 and 4-10 will do nothing!

They look like a good buy to me, though I've never tried one. My 60w Fender is also crazy loud. I've never had the volume over 3 and at that level, the combo sounds like it'll shake its self apart!

I approve of this choice of amplification and award it the coveted Frank Seal of Approval

Isn't this like the newer ProSonic? I loved my old 2 x 10 combo and these are supposed to be better. Congrats... I'd like to try one of these one day too.

Very very cool amp.  I don't have  Frank Seal of Approval to bestow so I'll just point to that and nod knowingly in agreement.
