i think you'll like the trilogies - if you tell tim they are to go with a sinner bridge he puts a bit more on them.
they have a nice compression, but still have a blatant strat spank! its funny but i think they sound a bit more stratty than slowhands, for example.
the sinner drives my 2204 marshall like a humbucker, but it still has a balanced single coil tone - though perhaps its not immediately identifiable as a strat tone when riffing hard with the gain up. i use it for hard rock, for which its ideal in this rig. alot of guys here use it for metal and swear by it, i'm sure its ideal for that.. but with my 2204 its very 80s hard rock!
i also like that positions 2 and 4 in the set still have the in-between tone. and i also like the way the pickups clean up in a beautiful way, even if they are pretty gainy.
