Well, I'll probably get there one day... a Fender Relic, in all likelihood.

But with my taste for the plain and simple, even the PRS models I like don't really nudge the £2,000 mark.  And as for Gibson, I'm not interested in paying Custom Shop prices for VOS Juniors or Specials - it almost seems to defeat the object of such simple guitars.

(There are some nice Limited Edition SG Customs around at the moment, though - but they're closer to £3,000!  :o )

Time will tell......

BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

I'll be back there one day. Not sure if it will be a tele or strat though. Probably a tele/esquire.

my taste in guitars is changing too, i'm almost ready to call myself a strat man, which i never would have said when i was starting out

I've been from Les Paul to Strat to Tele in the space of about 5 years. I'm pretty much all tele now!
I think I hate being indecisive.

Around when I first signed up I was really into a load of cheesy prog rock/metal and that sort of thing. Now I can't bloody stand the stuff  Tastes have gone in more of a punk/hardcore direction and I'm also listening to quite a bit of electronic stuff now (16bit, Deadmau5, Electro Nation etc).

Guitar wise I still like my Les Pauls but overall much prefer my SG now. Still not sold on Fender-styles, just don't feel right to me.

Uli Roth is very underestimated. Great tone, smooth playing. Tokyo Tapes lies somewhere in the cellar. Have to dig it up.

If you'd told me a couple of years ago that i'd be listening to Jazz and Bluegrass, you'd have been branded a madman... it's funny how tastes change over the years, but also quite interesting!

I'm far away now from anything that's metal. Listening to Danny Gatton (the master of the telecaster, sadly he died), John Hiatt, Kravitz, Hendrix, Carl Verheyen, Eric Johnson, world music, jazzy stuff..
