while researching / gassing for a cornford amp i found this vid. a good 'n . naturally the guitar tone is very good
but it shows other things i already knew i.e paul rodgers is one of the greatest ever vocalists and more than that
shows his complete ease as an interface between band and audience.perfect gig (full of old farts)

I'm totally in accord with your opinion of PR's singing. If I could graft any voice it'd be his I'd go for. Being old i had the pleasure of seeing Free at least six times when they were coming up. The first couple of times in a tiny club in Wolverhampton called the Catacombs. I was sat on the floor no more than 8 feet from Mr Rodgers. To say it was an experience is putting it very lightly indeed. Paul Kossof's guitar playing sounded like being stabbed in a very pleasant way.

He is a great performer.I always amazes me how young they were ( Free) when this song was a hit-his voice had maturity and authority then. This video is great to watch-I love the way he throws the mic stand up into the air and catches it in time with the ending....and he does it twice. This song is so easy to ruin to the extent that it becomes a parody and it great to see that PR keeps it fresh and real. All my opinion of course but it is from just before my era so I am hopelessly biased.
