What to put in tele deluxe 72 reissue? PU questions!!
« on: February 28, 2011, 08:22:29 PM »
So im getting a tele deluxe 72 reissue very soon. Im a big muse fan and have a few questions.

Nailbomb alnico or ceramic bridge PU? I want to go ceramic just for a brighter tone but I feel like ot may be TOO bright considering its a tele with a maple neck.... Thoughts?

Mississippi queen/ stockholm/ or supermassive neck pickup?
I know bellamy uses nb and MQ on some of his guitar$. Is the stockholm or supermassive modeled after
Muses songs? I dig supermassive black hole and stockholm syndrome as songs....

Can I change the plates or to a plated pickup. Im definately a guitarist who likes a matching style. If I got a chrome MQ, could I change it to a black color by,any, chance? My friend is,sellin me his, MQ possibly. its chrome and I thibk I would prefer the black covered version. Could I change it?

or if, I got the non covered version of a nailbomb. Could I change,it to a covered version afterwards? Would this be hard to do?

the widerange humbuckers in those guitars are not the same size as regular humbuckers so youll have to do some retro-fitting.

Yes, 53mm is the standard Fender spacing. If in doubt, measure.
