A-Pig or C-Pig for an SG?
« on: February 22, 2011, 09:38:29 PM »
Looking to put a warpig in my SG...tuned to C# with thicker gauge strings. I will mainly be playing Sabbath and other stoner/doom metal. Will an A-Pig be too dark with C# tuning? Thanks!

A-Pig will be bang on.

absolutely.
unless you want to get more pick attack (an awesomely buzzy pick attack!) on fast riffing (that's not your case, by the way) and more aggressive highs (but you don't play death metal, do you?) the alnico pig is your mandatory choice!
Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...

too many? ;)

Nope, no death metal here. Sounds like the A-Pig is the way to go! Thanks!  :D
