well uni were very helpful today - they have offered me a leave of absence with the opportunity to redo the placement at a different school in september or next january

still not sure what i want to do - but its nice to know i can try something else for a while and still have the opportunity to go back if i decide i hate a real 9-5 job with no holidays ;)

That sounds like a bit of a result - options in hand :D

Try to make sure that, when you do decide, you've managed to carefully weigh up what you'd like to do against what you think you need to do (if they're different!). It seems to be so easy for all of us to end up doing something that's "OK" (or worse) because we didn't make an "active" decision at some point... and you only realise years later when that point was and maybe what the other options were...

Sounds like a) you've got a breathing space to weigh up your options, and b) you're gonna use it well :D

yeah, i am fairly happy that they were so supportive. 


Just applied for a job i fancy as well - loosely related to my skills in education!
