Pickups for Agile Interceptor Pro

HI guys,

I'm new to the forum, so...nice to read you  :D
I have recently bought an Agile Interceptor Pro (http://www.rondomusic.com/product3682.html) and I'm quite happy with it...my only (major) critic would go to the pickups, Seymour Duncan Blackouts. It might be my personal taste (never been a fan of active pickups) but I think they suck, big time. Clean sounds come out distorted, distorsion comes out too massive to appreciate nuance of the sound... Plus I find the sound way too dark, and I'm already playing with a Peavy Valveking combo which does not help in that sense!

So, I went looking for some pickups that would answer these problems, and the choice seems to go to the Cold Sweat set!
So, if I have already a decision, why am I writing? Two reasons:
a) I'd like to hear your take guys, that probably know much more about how these pickups would fit with this guitar (everybody says that mahogany + cold sweat = heaven)
b) since I'm switching from active to passive, I'm not sure what else I should change. Jack socket almost for sure, pots debatably, pickup selector even more debatably. Insights anyone?

So, those would be my questions. I'll be glad to hear your opinions =)

you can use the same jack socket.  as an active guitar with a stereo jack it has an extra connection which turns on the battery- so you just use less connections!  Actives use 25k pots,  you need 500k for humbuckers so they will definitely need changing.  pickup switches work the same so you can keep that

Thanks, I thought they used 500K pots!
Unfortunately I discovered that the size of the Cold Sweat baseplate (http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/downloads/dimensions/humbuckers/7_string.pdf) exceeds the width of the sockets for the Blackouts 

I already sent them a mail asking if it would be possible to get a narrower baseplate...but if you have suggestions there don't hesitate, thanks!

Cold sweats are about as far away from blackouts as you can get and still have a pretty hot pickup - very bright and articulate, but can get very heavy if you want them to (dial back some treble, dig in a bit). Go with that.
