What P/U for this?
« on: January 12, 2006, 04:51:18 PM »
Howdy gain folks.
OK, just (for when get funds, Les Paul gets Cold Seats first). Obviously (duh) need BKP's in my Jackson.

On Judas Priest "Ram it Down" they do a cover of Johnny B. Goode". Anyone know it? If so what p/u for this tone? ;)

My guess,hmmm, Alcino or MM?

Anyway, let the P/U gods speak/tell me ;)

I haven't heard the song on the album, but i've seen it on scuzz (metal music video station on satellite here in the UK), and i assume it's the same.

I'd say wait for the painkiller to be released, it's based on that judas priest, brit metal, full mids metal tone.

EDIT: if you can't wait, probably a miracle man, but you'd want it with a marshall-y type amp (same with the painkiller, to be honest). That Judas priest sound, to me, sounds like a hot, ceramic pickup, through a more mid gain, british-y style amp.
