Gold pickups with Nickel Hardware
« on: June 02, 2011, 11:36:08 AM »
What do you guys think about getting gold covers on new pickups for my PRS ...bearing in mind the bridge and tuners are nickel.

Always liked the look of gold hardware but might look a bit off....

Also does anyone know where to buy official PRS replacements incase I want to change the bridge.

Any PRS dealer can get you parts, but make sure you have deep pockets...

Personally I'm not a fan of mixing different coloured hardware.

It even annoys me that PRS use nickel bridges but chrome tuners (WHY DO THEY DO THAT?  :x ).  Although the newer unplated(?) aluminium bridges look more like chrome, so I don't mind those so much.

As Twinfan says, PRS parts cost an insane amount of money.  Its not even worth considering IMO.
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM
