Re-radius of frets

Hey guys, I'm looking to have some work done to my old Strat.

Originally I wanted the frets pulled out and having the fretboard radius flattened to a 12" radius and a refret.

But I've also heard that having the existing radius of the frets flattened is also possible and cheaper. The Strat has 6100 size frets installed and I'd like to get the radius of the frets a bit flatter than the modern 9.5" radius because I love huge bends and wide vibrato. Is it possible? or is it better to just have the fretboard itself modified?

You can do a certain amount in the frets but going from a vintage 7.25" to a flatter 12" radius takes quite a bit of metal off

Doing it to the board is a lot more work , but gives you full fret height once it's refretted

I'm intrigued about this as there are some guitars that I have owned in the past that I would have kept had I got on with the 7.25 radius. Would this type of set up be noticeable for heavy handed players? I'm quite heavy handed by the way!
