So I'm considering purchasing some new pickups for my Ibanez RG7420 with a lo-TRS trem, and had a question about the spacing....
I've heard people saying that guitars with trems I need to be sure to get an f-spaced Bridge pickup, and a standard sized neck pickup. The previous owner of this guitar actually upgraded the bridge pickup in this to a tone zone, but I don't think he used the f-spaced one, as the low B and E strings don't hover directly over the pickup coils.
I just want to make sure that if I purchase a BKP set that I won't have this issue. So since I can't specify when I order that I want an f-spaced pickup, do their 7 string pickups all come already larger than say dimarzios or duncans?
This is a big concern for me because right now the low B and E strings just sound lifeless and muddy like there's something missing, and I'm assuming it's because the pickup spacing on it. All the other strings sound fantastic.
