Riff Raffs arrived and currently getting swapped in the shop (along with some nice RS audio pots). Should have some clips by the weekend!

Cool! :D

I missed this thread originally, and as I was going through it I was thinking "no, no, as long as it's not a bright/harsh sounding SG, I'm almost certain you want Riff Raffs..."

I've not tried Stormies, but Riff Raffs were the first I bought. They've been in various guitars but they're in a Faded SG Special (I actually bought the guitar for the pickups).

I don't play much AC/DC (even if my nickname has been Angus for 30 years ), but I play a lot of blues and early rock type stuff on it. It's a very versatile guitar, bites and growls when I want, mellows out when I want, it's not bad at a bit of jangling as well.

I don't play much in the way of "Cream" Eric Clapton on guitar (I do play an SG bass though, I'm kinda more interested in Jack Bruce's contribution), but it seems to do the job.

It's my go-to humbucker guitar.

Hope I'm right and it works out for you :D
