I have a schecter jeff loomis signature. Its a 7string with an ash body and a maple neck. the eqiped emg 707s are pretty good, but they are a little too compressed. my question is what pickup kombination would be good for a tight but "open" metal sound on the bridge and a smooth distored and good clean sound on the neck. i have a pair of miracle man in a mahagony body guiitar, and they rock. but i dont think they would fit in that guitar. Im also worried about the size. are emg 7 sring pickups really much bigger than "normal" 7 string pickups?
