I used the C-pig for quite some time. And it cuts through the mix like a razorblade

That's what I'm hoping with the new amp that it does sound a lot better.  I hit the wall on the MG30 when I first got it with my ESP AX-250 but it did the job.  Better amp and ditch the metal zone will be the go.  The Vypyr amp seems nice and should unlock the potential in my V.  Damn it's heavy but I can't make the most of it at the moment.

i doubt that the vypyr will get you into gaintastic land. A pedal you should try is the Line 6 über metal. It has the nicest distortion i've ever heard from a pedal. Cool stuff is that is has a noise gate in it too :) i bet you can find one cheap

Thanks for the info on that pedal.  I'll be looking into that some more.   I've added more mids into my metal zone and eq and it's nice with the C-pig now.

The Vypyr amp will give me flexibility in sound as I'm not always after a death metal sound on my AX-250 or my Warbeast.  I'm thinking those two guitars may get some BKP's at some point too  :)

Edit:  I'm a muppet.  Bitching about my c-pig being too dark but if I learn to drive my amp it's fine.
