H-H ideas for a walnut / maple guitar
« on: August 29, 2011, 08:29:28 AM »
Any ideas for a guitar with a body of walnut wings with maple middle and a fixed maple neck with ebony board?

I lean more towards vintage hot normally but open to suggestions. There isn't a specific sound i'm looking for.

I would definitely look for a warm and not too tight sounding pickup for that wood combination.

I concur. Something like Black Dogs, Abraxas or even Crawler.

I've been thinking about it and i think i'd like to try out something in the "contemporary" range, nothing too extreme. Would the Holydiver be a good choice?

I think that's a good choice to stretch from fat blues to metal. It's beefy for sure. Great solotones from this one.

I agree, Holydiver would probably work well.
