List: The Tight and the not so Tight?
« on: August 27, 2011, 03:21:18 AM »
I have no experience with bareknuckle pickups so I was wondering for the guys (and gals?) on the forum who do have experience to help me out on speculating/creating a list of the contemporary pickups on which ones are the tightest and which ones are not so tight (I mean from what I hear they're all tight but some not as much as others)...

So I guess just post your list of what you think are BkP's tightest (to not so tightest) modern pickups

thank you,

J

well I actually do have an aftermath on the way! I don't want the tightest pickup (well I do but I am already getting it :D unless there's a pickup tighter then the aftermath) I just wanted to make a list of pickups from least tightest to the tightest

It all depends how you see tightness.

THe aftermath is technically the tightest.

But i also prefer a good kick with my tightness so i would say the miracle man as it is nearly as tight but has a good strong kick in the low mids.

I have both by the way

The aftermath still wins it is overall the tightest it just doesnt have the aggressiveness in the lows that i like for some stuff.

It is however excellent for a lot of stuff

I would guess a Humbucker sized Ceramic Warpig P-90
BKPs in use: 10th set / RY set / Holy Diver b, Emerald n / Crawler bridge, Slowhand mid MQ neck/ Manhattan n
On the sidelines: Stockholm b / Suppermassive n, Mule n, AM set, IT mid
