No - still differences
AM has 3 magnets and PK has 1 ..... and I'm not sure about the wire gauge on both compared

Im in doubt on the magnet one.

Quote
The hi-mid peak of the Painkiller humbucker together with its powerful triple ceramic magnet design makes it the perfect pickup for progressive technical metal styles. A combination of tight, resonant lows and intense pick attack lets the Painkiller dominate and punch through any mix. Clarity is never compromised, no matter how much gain is applied or how low the tuning and, as with the Cold Sweat, pick harmonics are totally effortless.

The painkiller is a thicker wind and is more saturated with more lows & highs than the aftermath.

Is what Tim told me

painkiller - 44 awg polysol wire
aftermath - 43 awg enamel (same as a nailbomb) ?

I'm not a 100% sure, but that's what I remember... (maybe I'm confusing the numbers or the AM with some other model?)

I think both are probably simmetrically wound and triple ceramic loaded

so... no, it's not just a double pole coil PK, but somewhat similar
