Yeah, I heard that in descriptions, and hearing the valves, I can see what people are on about. The 34Bs (the tungsol ones at least; I dont find it true of the STR 34Bs) have a sharper, crisper top end that I dont normally acsociate with EL34s. I've had 6L6s in the Pittbull. I had high hopes, I normally like 6L6s better, but while the treble sharpened up, the mids lost fullness and punch and the low end was comparatively sloppy (compared to the STRs). That may be that though my PB model has the option to use 6L6s, it was designed for EL34s, though. Compared to that, however, these are kinda like 6L6 top end on EL34 mids, and low end, but the low end is deeper punchier (and tighter than the 6L6s, but thats in an amp that was designed for EL34s).
