Although you are attempting to be quite specific in your questions, no two guitars are the same, even if they share identical construction on paper. I would strongly urge you to choose your guitar first, wait until you have played it, then think about what you want from the pickups that the current ones don't provide. If you are trying to choose a pickup for a custom guitar that is being built, then I would urge you to stick to a pickup that you know, so that you have something familiar to compare to.
Choosing a pickup is quite a personal matter - beyond the voicing, the most noticeable difference between different models is how the "feel" or how they react to your playing. That is something that you simply cannot learn about via the internet. The truth is that ANY of the pickups in the range can "do" metal in pretty much any guitar (within reason of course) - the differences in voicing can easily be countered with a few deft adjustments to your amp's EQ. It's up to you to try them out to see what works best for you.
