Talking of Scouse - I just read an Italian cook book by Jamie Oliver and the little Essex mockney described some Italian dish as something like 'corrr mate, a blend of left overs that would be fried up the next day, showing the Italians pukka attitude to not wasting food, geeza'. No disrepect to Italians but maybe Oliver got hit over the head with a rolling pin (one hopes and prays) and ended up in Bootle rather than Brescia.
